Over the past few days I have been working on a poetry book to include some of my early poetry writings between 1992-1995. I am not sure exactly how I am going to differentiate what I want in the book, other than I want the next chapter (book) to include the next set of poems I have ever written since the first volume.
I am transcribing the poetry now and I should be done before the end of the year, so hopefully a book can be produced out of this work. I am still going to work strong on finding the right cover for the book. I don't know if I want a picture or what, but I will look for suggestions from friends for help in this way.
This time I am really working hard on making each page perfect so that I don't have to do any revisions. I want to format each page correctly and then change it to PDF format with my PDF X-Change program. I have decided on this book to put all dates and times when I started the book as a footnote, and leave out the end time because it does seem monotonous I guess. I want to still include any notes and I will put them as a footnote from now on if it has to do with the poem, such as what music I might have been listening to at the time of my writing it.
I haven't decided on a title of this book yet. It will be Poet Tree: Volume Two but just not sure if I should continue to write something like "Forrever ___" or not. I think a more appropriate title would be to make it a sensible name, rather than a made up name like Forrever.
My goal was to produce another book by the end of the year and this should do the trick. I have been transcribing about 10 poems a day or so. And I have been using single space lines, so that I fit more in the page. When I created the first book with its double space lines, it looked there was too much going on for each poem, so this should tidy it up. I just thought that if you try to publish a book it supposed to have double spaces....but then I will decide at the end what I will really do. I don't want to have to change it, but because I have decided to format it correctly in the beginning this time, I will probably keep it single spaced.
